Graduation Safety Guidance

The New York State Department of Health and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 outbreak. In recognition of the important milestone that our students have reached, the DOH has provided guidance in alignment with the State’s strategic approach for a phased reopening in these unprecedented times.

One attendee from each attending party/house/family must sign in before or immediately upon arrival to the building, providing your full name, address, email, and phone number for use in potential contact tracing efforts, if necessary. Please go to CAAS Contact Tracing to fill out the form.

All attendees must complete the Health Screening Questionnaire prior to commencement.

Based on DOE guidelines those who fail the health screening questionnaire will be denied entry to the ceremony, as well as any members of the attendee’s party who may have been in close contact with such patron within the past 10 days.

Social Distancing

All attendees must practice social distancing at all times by maintaining a distance of, at least, six (6) feet from other individuals, except for members of the same immediate party/household/family.

Sharing or exchanging materials of any kind poses an increased risk of transmission of COVID-19 and should be prohibited (e.g., throwing graduation caps, giving gifts).

Face Coverings

All attendees must wear acceptable face covering at all times; provided, however, that you may remove your face covering when seated to eat or drink.

If you are speaking or presenting, you may temporarily remove your face covering.

Students may also temporarily remove face coverings while crossing the stage or having their individual photos taken.
